Poll monitors invited by Election Commission to arrive in Sri Lanka on November 11th

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –A group of poll monitors on the invitation of the Election Commission will arrive in the island on the 11th of November to observe the 2019 presidential elections, the Elections Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake stated.

The Election Commission have invited election monitors from Australia, South Africa, Indonesia and SAARC countries.

Meanwhile, the election monitoring groups in the country have also invited independent foreign observers for the election.

The Presidential election will be held on 16th November and 35 candidates are vying for the country’s top post.
