(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a prison guard at the Agunakolapelessa Prison for the possession of heroin, marijuana and narcotic pills.
The Jailor was arrested last evening when the STF officers were inspecting the persons entering the Angunakolapelessa Prison premises.
Over 10 grams of heroin, more than 14 grams of cannabis and over 27 grams of heroin were seized from the custody of the prison guard.
The arrested suspect is a 32 year old resident of Tangalle, identified as Rahubaddha Kankanamge Hassan Priyadarshana.
The suspect will be produced before Agunukolapelessa Magistrate’s Court today.
