Passengers from South Korea to be checked at BIA

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – With the spread of the coronavirus, Passengers who are arriving from South Korea are undergoing special inspections at the Bandaranaike International Airport, the Health Ministry said.

The Director General of Health Services, Dr. Anil Jasinghe said that, all passengers arriving from South Korea will be monitored and will be under observation for 14 days.

Accordingly, 267 passengers who arrived in the island in an aircraft belonging to the Korean airlines yesterday were inspected and 128 passengers who arrived from Shanghai last night were also inspected.

Four people have died in South Korea due to the coronavirus.
