(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Two persons suspected of having contracted the novel COVID-19 coronavirus have been admitted to the Polonnaruwa hospital this morning.
The Director of the Polonnaruwa hospital said arrangements have been made to transfer the two patients to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Colombo.
The health official said that one of the persons who had been admitted to the hospital has arrived from Italy and had been sent to the Kandakadu quarantine center yesterday.
The other person also had arrived from Italy on the 6th and had visited the Somawathiya sacred area. He had been admitted to the Polonnaruwa hospital after developing a fever.
