(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The father of imprisoned underworld gangster Kanjipani Imran has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital with serious stab wounds yesterday night, police said.
According to the police, three individuals, who had arrived in a three-wheeler, had got off the three-wheeler and attacked the victim using sharp weapons, while he was walking near his house in Maligawatte at around 6.30 pm Wednesday evening
The police said a policeman on duty nearby has managed to arrest one of the suspects when he was fleeing with a sword. The arrested suspect is a resident of Anuradhapura, the Police said.
