(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Equal rights to engage in business for all entrepreneurs irrespective of their political views or the community they belonged to will be guaranteed under a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna government, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said.
The Prime Minister made this observation on Wednesday during a meeting he held with the business community at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
The Prime Minister said that when he was the President he could solve issues of entrepreneurs as he was always ready to discuss them.
He added that unlike their government, the other governments did not give entrepreneurs an opportunity to discuss their issues.
He said there is a vast difference between governments as the present government is willing to hear.
“There is an issue with the import and export process,” the Prime Minister said. “The cause of the issue is the economic bankruptcy the country was experiencing when we took over the government. But the economy of the country was far better when we handed over the government to the Good Governance government.”
