(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The number of COVID-19 coronavirus recoveries in the country has increased to 4,075 with 32 recoveries reported yesterday, states the Health Ministry Epidemiology Unit.
According to the situation report, one patient each at the Minuwangoda Base Hospital and Hambantota District General Hospital, 15 at Colombo East Base Hospital, five at Theldeniya Base Hospital, six at Homagama Base Hospital and two each from the Laggala Pallegama Hospital and Dankotuwa District Hospital have recovered. Sri Lanka’s confirmed cases court meanwhile exceeds 9,000. However, 4,776 of them are currently under medical care.
Meanwhile, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) yesterday stated that a total of 457 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 on Tuesday (27) and all of them were from locally-identified affectees.
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from the Minuwangoda garment factory stands at 5,398. Of them, 1041 are factory employees and 4,357 are locally-identified contacts of those garment factory-infected employees.
Meanwhile, Flight QR 688 from Doha, Qatar with 14 passengers arrived in Colombo. All those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by the Tri-Services after formalities at the airport.
Seventy-three people left for their homes yesterday after after undergoing PCR tests. Of them, 10 persons are from Nipuna Boossa QC, six persons from the Habaraduwa QC, four persons from Rajagiriya Ayurveda QC, 21 persons from Hotel Dolphin QC, one person from Hotel Jetwing Blue QC, 21 persons from Hotel Sheraton Kosgoda QC, 5 persons from Hotel Green Paradise QC and 05 persons from Koggala Resort QC.
