Sri Lanka to resume commercial and charter flight operations from December 26

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) has informed the Civil Aviation Authorities around the globe of the proposed resumption of commercial and charter flights operations to Sri Lanka beginning December 26, 2020.

CAASL Chairman UpuI Dharmadasa said in a statement that the CAASL as an Aviation Regulator in Sri Lanka will be disseminating the appropriate directives to the travel industry in due course of the opening of Sri Lanka’s airspace for upcoming commercial and charter frights operations.

“CAASL is dedicated to facilitate in promoting and marketing tourism in Sri Lanka by respective agencies while acting as an exponent to the Aviation Industry of the island under the present conditions,” the Chairman said.

“It is our utmost satisfaction and commitment to encourage the tourists around the globe,” he added.
