Chinese Defense Minister arrives in Sri Lanka

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe arrived in Sri Lanka Tuesday evening (April 27) on a three day official visit.

The Chinese Defense Minister accompanied by a delegation of 37 high-ranking officials arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at 10.50 tonight on a special flight B-4026 of the Chinese Air Force.

The Chinese Defense Minister and his delegation will be visiting the island from April 27 to 29, Government Information Department announced.

During the visit, General Wei Fenghe, is scheduled to call on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
