(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Sri Lanka setting a new record for coronavirus cases for a second day confirmed over 1100 new cases on Tuesday.
According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 1,111 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Tuesday.
Among the positive cases identified Tuesday are, 1,082 associates of the Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster, 07 associates of Prison Cluster and 15 persons arrived from overseas.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 10 pm Tuesday, a total of 103,487 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 7,984 infected patients are being treated at hospitals.
No deaths due to COVID-19 were reported on Tuesday, leaving the total at 647 and 94,856 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
