(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 2,456 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Monday.
Among the positive cases identified Monday are, 2,433 persons from the New Year COVID-19 cluster and 23 foreign arrivals.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 9 pm Monday, a total of 145,202 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 24,611 infected patients are being treated at hospitals, while 119,629 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Sri Lanka reported 19 deaths Monday raising the toll to 981.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 1,315,257 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 269,512 have received the second dose.
