(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Sri Lanka reported that 55 deaths due to COVID-19 occurred on Monday, June 14, 2021.
The Director General of Health Services Monday (15) confirmed that 55 deaths occurred on Monday 14 June without stating the total number of deaths.
The Health Ministry has taken measures to change the procedure of announcing COVID-19 related deaths in a single day with effect from Monday.
Among the Monday’s dead are 22 females and 33 males. The majority of the deaths numbering 44 are in the over 60 years of age group.
