(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 2,450 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Tuesday.
Among the cases confirmed today, 2,423 are from the New Year cluster and 27 are foreign arrivals currently in quarantine.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 11 pm Tuesday, a total of 316,219 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 28,878 infected patients are being treated at hospitals, while 282,770 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Sri Lanka reported 74 deaths Tuesday raising the total to 4,645.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 10,309,855 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 2,448,361 have received the second dose.
