(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Health today has issued new instructions to follow for the next 15 days stressing proper adherence to health guidelines.
Issuing a new set of guidelines for public and work-related activities from 1st to 15th November 2021, the Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said although a significant control of the COVID-19 epidemic in the country is achieved, there is still a risk for escalation in COVID-19 transmission due to cluster formation.
Under this situation, the efforts taken in the gradual reopening of the country need to be sustained in the continued practice of DreAM in all situations.
It is emphasized that contributing to the control of COVID-19 is the responsibility of every citizen as well as every governmental, non-governmental and private institutions.
According to the New Health Guidelines from 01 to 15 December, maximum 1/3 of usual hall capacity, not exceeding 200 guests, allowed for indoor wedding receptions and 250 guests for outdoor receptions and no liquor to be served.
