(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –Aims to spread the value of education to future generations, to help young people reach their goals, to empower young people with knowledge and to conduct seminars and workshops to provide them with career guidance and workshops aimed at promoting unity among the youth and helping the needy and the needy in society, the official website of the Help Icon Social Welfare Organization was launched yesterday (19) at the Colombo Foundation Institute under the patronage of Dr. SudarshiniFernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control.
The website www.helpicon.lk was launched with a number of CSR initiatives that enable anyone around the world to join the organization through the website. This has made it possible for you to join the Help Icon organization as a volunteer or as a donor. Help Icon is a website that allows you to view and use all of your CSR projects in all three languages. ManusathDerana Project Chairman Mahesh Jayawardena and Prasanna Jayasundara, Deputy General Manager, Lake House Advertising, joined with the Minister to launch the website.
Simultaneously, a number of CSR programs were launched and the Help Icon organization donated to construction of a fully equipped house for a disabled war hero. It was handed over to the Seva Vanitha unit of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Regiment and the Minister was accompanied by Help Icon Chairman PriyadarshanaBentotaarachchi and General Secretary Thusitha Jayawardena.
Arrangements were also made to donate a special patient chair used for those receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit to the MaharagamaApeksha Hospital after the operation. The special chair was handed over to the Minister by Help Icon Chairman PriyadarshanaBentotaarachchi and General Secretary Thusitha Jayawardena.
Four wheelchairs were also donated by Help Icon and Dr. SudarshiniFernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control, handed over the wheelchairs to the relatives of four patients in need. Mrs. Sunethra Gunawardena, Secretary to the Ministry of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control was also present on the occasion.
According to the program implemented to provide book kits to the children of low-income families under the Help Icon Sip Nena Saviya project, Symbolizing the distribution of school books to 102 students of AttygalleKanishta Vidyalaya, Hanwella complete book kits for 10 children were also distributed. Amal Pussellage, District 306C1 President of the International Lions Club, Lalith PiyumPerera, Chairman of the National Lotteries Board and Kula Sri Kariyawasam, Senior Journalist were also joined this occasion.
Herbline donates one million rupees to strengthen Help Icon’s CSR projects and It was handed over by Harbline Operations Director Sanjeewa Ganegoda to Help Icon General Secretary Thusitha Jayawardena at this occasion.
The event was attended by the heads of a number of public and private institutions, including teachers, parents and children.
