(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has decided to appoint a Ministerial Committee with the aim to focus more on investment promotion.
The President has instructed the Cabinet to revise the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Investment Promotion proposed in 2020 and appoint a new Cabinet Committee.
The new Cabinet Committee will be appointed to focus on the promotion of foreign direct investment and to encourage local investment for economic growth.
The President has proposed that a 12-member Ministerial Committee on Investment Promotion be appointed to assist and appoint a committee of officials headed by the Secretary to the President to make relevant recommendations.
