Unloading of coal from two ships commences

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –The unloading of coal from two ships that had arrived in Sri Lanka has already commenced Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said.

Two vessels carrying 120,000 MT of Coal begun unloading after the payment of US$ 38 million, the Minister said in a Twitter post.

He said with these 2 vessels the Coal requirement before the monsoon deadline is fulfilled.

Further a Jet Fuel Cargo and a Diesel Cargo consignment commenced unloading as well, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera further stated.
