(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) says that many people are interested in foreign employment these days and as a result, cases of them being cheated by racketeers have been reported from various parts of the country.
These racketeers have used various media outlets to spread fraudulent information about job opportunities, especially in Romania, Israel, Japan and South Korea.
The Bureau of Foreign Employment informs the job seekers to obtain all information regarding the foreign employment agencies registered with the SLBFE and the employment offers received by those institutions from the Bureau’s website.
Also, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment advises foreign job seekers to inquire about the legitimacy of those institutions before handing over money or passports to any party.
All information related to foreign employment can be obtained 24 hours a day from www.slbfe.lk or calling hotline number 1989.
