(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) announced that it has stocks of all fuel including diesel, petrol and kerosene for distribution without any shortage.
Sapugaskanda Refinery has resumed operations and steps have already been taken to continue its fuel production, the CPC said. Accordingly, all fuels including diesel, petrol and kerosene are produced at Sapugaskanda Refinery.
The CPC says that the imported fuel is stored in Kolonnawa and Muthurajawela oil depots.
The procurement activities required for the future oil supply are currently being carried out, the Corporation said.
The CPC requested the public not to fall for false propaganda spread by some people saying that there is no fuel available.
The Corporation said it is working to expedite the distribution of fuel without a shortage to reduce the congestion at the filing stations.
