(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Water Management Secretariat has agreed to release water from reservoirs to prevent any overflowing as heavy rains are forecast in catchment areas, according to the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), accordingly there won’t be any power outages for two days.
As a result, no power outages will be implemented Yesterday (30) and today (31), according to CEB Chairman Nalinda Ilangakoon.
Meanwhile the PUCSL Chairman says that on the request of the commission made on February 29th, the Water Management Secretariat has released adequate water to generate power without any interruptions on January 30 and 31.
Janaka Ratnayake stated that a decision regarding the remaining Advanced Level examination days will be made on Wednesday (Feb. 1).
