(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says no decision has been taken to suspend the National Fuel Pass (NFP) QR system from 10th April.
Several media outlets reported today that according to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation measures have been taken to end the QR code fuel rationing system from the 10th of April.
However, Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said on Twitter that no decision has been taken to cancel the fuel license.
He further said that the NFP data will be analyzed to gradually increase the quotas allocated.
He said the decisions on the system will be taken in consultation with Finance Ministry and other stakeholders in the next few months.
