(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – On the directives of the President, the Secretary to the President Saman. Ekanayake has directed the Secretary of Health Ministry to formulate the required measures to establish specialized hospitals in Jaffna, Hambantota, Badulla and Anuradhapura Districts to treat cancer patients.
The President has also given directives to establish a specialized modern Children’s hospital in a suitable location, the President’s Media Division said.
The Health Ministry Secretary was also directed to appoint a committee to study the possibility of establishing a Modern Laboratory on Medical Research and submit their report within two months.
