(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe has left the island for Washington DC to attend the 2023 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that will commence from today(10).
The 2023 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will take place from April 10 to 16 in Washington, DC.
The State Minister posting a note in his Facebook page said he is looking forward to representing Sri Lanka at the IMF & World Bank 2023 Spring Meetings starting tomorrow.
“This would be a great opportunity to enhance cooperation with our international partners to ensure debt sustainability and to further the progress we have made towards economic recovery,” the Minister noted.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe has assigned the coordination with the International Monetary Fund and related responsibilities to State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe.
