(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Nihal Thalduwa said that former Attorney General Dappula de Livera has been informed to appear at the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) Wednesday (19) to record a statement regarding the Easter Sunday terror attack.
The Spokesman also mentioned that the former Attorney General was summoned to inquire about a controversial statement he made regarding the Easter Sunday terror attack a few days before his retirement.
Dappula De Livera before his retirement has stated that there were masterminds of the Easter Sunday terror attack and that there was a conspiracy behind the attack.
Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reform Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, in response to a media inquiry has stated that the Attorney General has informed the Terrorism Investigation Division to record a statement regarding the former Attorney General’s statement.
