The Nekathata Pelayak tree planting auspicious time is tomorrow at 6.38 am. The Ministry of Agriculture requests all citizens to plant a fruit plant.

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  The last auspicious ritual of the 2023 Sinhala and Tamil New year festival will be held tomorrow (20). It is called Nekathata Pelayak tree planting auspicious time has been applied for tomorrow (20).

The Ministry of Agriculture requests all the people of the country to plant a perennial crop that will bear fruit during the planting auspicious tomorrow at 6.38 am.

The Ministry of Agriculture has made all arrangements to celebrate the auspiciousness of planting trees this year under the theme “Let’s plant a treet that bears fruit”.

The main event has been arranged to be held tomorrow (20) at 6.38 am at Angunacolapalassa Govi Jana Seva Center under the patronage of Agriculture Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera.

At the same time, the Minister of Agriculture, Mahinda Amaraweera, has instructed that all the departments, corporations, authorities and boards and their regional offices belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture should take steps to carry out the ritual of planting saplings.

Commenting on this, the Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera requests that all government institutions and private institutions also plant a perennial crop that will lead to food production in the country and is the last ritual between the Sinhala and Tamil New Year rituals.

Even if it is not possible to plant a sapling during the relevant auspicious time, the minister also requests that you plant a sapling at any time tomorrow (20) and contribute to this national tree planting mission.
