(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Police media Spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Nihal Thalduwa says that a special security program will be in place around the mosques during the Ramadan festival.
Relevant instructions have been issued to the Deputy Inspector Generals of Police in charge of the provinces and Senior Superintendents of Police.
Accordingly, it has been decided to implement this security program in the provinces where Muslims live in large numbers.
Ramadan is scheduled to be celebrated on April 23rd.
