(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Department of Examinations has released the results of the 2023 Grade five scholarship examination held on the 15th of October on midnight Thursday (16).
Accordingly, the results can be accessed on the official website of the examination department, www.doenets.lk, said the department.
The Department of Examinations has also released the District Level cut-off marks for both Sinhala and Tamil mediums for all districts for the 2023 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.
Out of the 338,037 applicants applied for the 2023 scholarship examination, 332,949 took the test island wide and 50,664 students are above the cutoff mark.
Accordingly, the number of children who will be given bursaries is 20,000, out of which 250 have been reserved for children with special needs.
No district rank or island rank has been given in the results released this year. Also, the Sinhala and Tamil medium cut-off marks of each district have also been released.
Accordingly, the Sinhala medium cutoff marks for Gampaha, Colombo, Kalutara, Kandy, Matale, Galle, Matara, Kurunegala, Kegalle districts are shown as 154. For Hambantota, Ratnapura minimum score limit is 150 and Vavuniya district’s score limit is 145.
