(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, participated in the Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium 2023, which took place at Headquarters Pacific Air Forces in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, from 13 to 16 November 2023.
This significant week-long event focused on the application of global insights to address regional security challenges and marked the largest biannual gathering of air chiefs to date, attracting representatives from 22 countries.
Under the leadership of General Ken Wilsbach, the Pacific Air Force Commander and the host of the Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium 2023, discussions centered on various topics related to regional security. Further, the symposium featured panels discussing the importance of air domain awareness, lessons learned from recent conflicts and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
Beyond its substantive discussions, the symposium also featured engaging social events designed to tie the bonds among international partners. By bringing together military leaders from the Indo-Pacific, Europe, South America and North America, the Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium 2023 was attended as a platform to address regional challenges and strengthen ever-deepening partnerships.
