(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Sports Minister Harin Fernando has formally urged the International Cricket Council to revoke the ban imposed on Sri Lanka Cricket.
In his letter, the minister has assured that measures are being taken under the Sri Lankan Sports legislation to prevent a violation of the Sri Lanka Cricket constitution.
It is expected that the ICC Executive Board will take swift measures in this regard at their next meeting.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Cricket has also formally informed the ICC on the developments with regard to the revoking of the Interim committee by the Sports Minister and with regard to the independence of the SLC.
