(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Leave granted for employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has been cancelled with effect from yesterday (Jan. 02).
According to a circular issued by Acting General Manager Dr.Nerandra de Silva, all leave of CEB employees has been cancelled, declaring that electricity as an essential service and that the CEB is committed to continuous supply of electricity.
Those who are in need of leave due to emergency situations will be able to apply following the approval of a senior executive grade officer.
