In response to a special request from King Salman, an international conference aimed at eliminating extremism and promoting tolerance is set to begin in Makkah, running from August 3rd to 5th. The event will draw participants from over 60 countries, including Islamic Affairs Ministers, leaders of Islamic organizations, scholars, muftis, and ulema.
To celebrate this significant event, Makkah is adorned with vibrant banners featuring portraits of King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh. The conference, organized under the direct supervision of Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh, will focus on addressing the threats of extremism, terrorism, bigotry, hate speech, and Islamophobia.
The conference will feature 10 sessions dedicated to exploring strategies for countering these dangers and establishing tolerant coexistence among communities. The event underscores Saudi Arabia’l’s ongoing efforts to build a harmonious and peaceful society, free from the scourge of extremism.
