(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Bilateral discussions between fisheries authorities in Sri Lanka and India had commenced today (Oct. 29) in Sri Lanka.
Speaking at the Cabinet media briefing today, Cabinet spokesman – Minister Vijitha Herath said that 12 representatives of the Indian Fisheries Ministry arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday for talks.
Several parties including the fisheries ministries of the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sri Lanka are attending these talks, he added.
He said that matters including the pressing issue of poaching will be taken up during this discussion.
