(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Moratuwa today (Dec. 27) for a China aid subsidized housing project for the low income category.
Prime Minister – Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Chinese ambassador in Sri Lanka – Mr. Qi Zhenhong as well as officials of the Chinese project management team and the Urban Development authority attended the event.
According to the Department of Government Information, the project aims to construct 1,888 housing units for the low income category and 108 units for veteran artistes under financial aid of RMB 552 million by the Chinese government.
