SriLankan Airlines and flydubai Announce New Interline Agreement

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – SriLankan Airlines and flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, have announced today an interline agreement commencing from 09 September 2024, introducing more travel opportunities between Sri Lanka, the UAE and beyond on select routes on the carriers’ networks.

Candidates exceeding stipulated spending limits risk losing position, civil rights – Election Commission

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Commissioner General of Elections Saman Sri Ratnayake emphasized that any presidential candidate found by the courts to have exceeded the legally permitted spending limit per voter will face severe consequences, including the loss of their position and the revocation of their civil rights for three years.

Handing over of first payment for Hybrid Power Projects in Delft, Nainativu and Analaitivu islands

 (LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  The first payment towards implementation of Hybrid Power Projects in Three Islands off Jaffna was handed over by the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka H.E. Santosh Jha to Secretary, Minister of Power and Energy, Dr. Sulakshana Jayawardena and Chairman of Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA) Mr. Ranjith Sepala at a ceremony held at the High Commission on 28 August 2024.
