Tamil Nadu assures will secure release of fishermen in Sri Lanka

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Deputy Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam has assured fishermen that the State government would request the Centre to prevail upon the Sri Lankan government and secure the release of all fishermen arrested by the Sri Lankan navy along with their confiscated boats at the earliest, The Hindu newspaper reported.

Rs 22 b surplus recorded in the Budget Balance for the first time in 63 years
