Sri Lanka optimistic as IMF board meets for second review today

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  Sri Lanka’s State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe says today (June 12) marks a significant milestone for Sri Lanka’s economy as the International Monetary Fund’s executive board is scheduled to discuss the second review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and Article IV consultation.

Minister Sabry meets Ambassador of Russian Federation regarding Sri Lankans in the Russia – Ukraine conflict

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  On 29 May 2024 Foreign Minister Ali Sabry held a follow up discussion with Russian Ambassador Levan S Dzhagaryan relating to the urgent situation regarding the Sri Lankans engaged in the Russia – Ukraine conflict. This meeting was subsequent to the previous meeting held with the Russian Ambassador on 07 May 2024.
