(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  Closing ceremony of the 3-month long teacher-training program in STEM subjects under Indian grant assistance for schools in the plantation regions of Sri Lanka was held on 18 October 2024 at the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife, Forest Resources, Water Supply, Plantation and Community Infrastructure.

Govt. announcement on Rs. 3,000 increment for pensioners

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Vijitha Herath announced that an additional Rs. 3,000 will be added to the monthly pension of government retirees starting next month. This decision, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, comes as part of an interim allowance to provide immediate financial relief to pensioners.

PM requests Thai govt’s support to rescue Sri Lankans in cybercrime camps in Myanmar
