Dividend payments by Listed Companies will now reach Shareholders faster

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The recently approved amendments to the listing rules of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) will enable shareholders to receive dividends declared by Listed companies much faster. These reforms are a part of broader changes considered and implemented by the SEC and CSE to facilitate the digitization of capital market operations.

India funds new housing project to build 10,000 houses for Sri Lanka estate workers

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – India Sunday (August 12) handed over the first lot of houses built under the Indian Housing Project in Plantation Areas to the estate workers in Sri Lanka’s hill country and inked an agreement to fund a new project to build an additional 10,000 houses under the project.
