Sri Lanka Army expands intelligence, surveillance operations to combat drug trafficking

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Commander of Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage has instructed the commanders of Security Forces Headquarters and all relevant parties to expand operations and intelligence surveillance duties on drug trafficking.

(CHENNAI, LANKAPUVATH) – Citing the report of United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Zeid Raad Al Hussein accusing Sri Lanka of failing to comply with the Commission’s resolutions for hybrid mechanism to probe the war crimes and return of Army occupied lands to Tamils, Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Youth Wing Leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Saturday (04) asked the Union Government to take the issue to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to ensure justice for Tamils.
