(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Fifty-three Indian fishermen were on Friday (10) released from a Sri Lankan jail, days after the two countries decided to release fishermen in each other’s custody to defuse tension following the killing of an Indian fisherman allegedly by the Lankan Navy, the Press Trust of India reported.

(NEW DELHI, LANKAPUVATH) – India on Thursday (09) said it expects Sri Lanka to expedite the investigation into the killing of one of its fishermen given the “Gravity and seriousness” of the issue, the Press Trust of India reported.
