The Cabinet approved Water Tariff Increase discussed at the Ministerial Consultative Committee

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development took into discussion the water tariff increase, aimed at ensuring the sustainability of Sri Lanka’s water supply and safeguarding access to clean drinking water for all Sri Lankans.

The water tariff increase was a necessary step taken to address the critical challenges faced by the NWSDB and ensure clean drinking water to all Sri Lankans

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  The National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) faced critical challenges, and the increase in water tariff was necessary to solve those challenges and ensure that all Sri Lankans would continue to have access to clean drinking water, Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Jeevan Thondaman stated.
