(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Sri Lanka parliament convened for a short time today and adjourned soon after.
The parliament session commenced at 1 pm today and the assembly was adjourned soon after till 10.30 am on Friday, November 23rd by Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri.
During the short session, MP Lakshman Kiriella has proposed to conduct an investigation into the disruptive actions by some parliamentarians during the previous three occasions of the parliamentary sessions held on Nov 14, 15, and 16, according to the Twitter posts.
The Leader of the House of the minority government MP Dinesh Gunawardena has proposed to appoint a select committee to decide the parliament agenda.
However no fracas have been reported today as in the previous three occasions.
