(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Notorious drug kingpin Mohommad Najim Mohammad Imran alias Kanjipani Imran and three others were deported from Dubai and detained by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this morning.
Kanjipani Imran had been arrested together with underworld leader Makandure Madush at a hotel in Dubai.
Most of those arrested had narcotics in their possession at the time of arrest.
Sri Lanka had sought the deportation of the suspects to Sri Lanka to be investigated for major crimes committed by them.
