(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Senior Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Rajaratnam has been appointed as the acting Solicitor General with immediate effect.
The Public Service Commission appointed Rajaratnam to the post to replace Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe who has been interdicted.
The Public Service Commission had recently interdicted Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe with immediate effect.
Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe has been interdicted over a leaked telephone conversation.
In a leaked telephone conversation between her and Avant-Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi, Wickremasinghe is heard expressing regret over the action taken on Avant-Garde.
She said that had she known several people will lose their jobs she would not have taken legal action.
The former Director General of the Bribery Commission is also heard saying “I know how to break the law and make the law”.
