(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Colombo Chief Magistrate Courts today ordered relevant institutions to hand-over financial statements and telephone records of the IGP Pujith Jayasundara and the former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando to CID to support further investigations.
12 Fundamental Rights (FR) petitions filed against IGP Pujith Jayasundara and former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando over the Easter Sunday terror attacks were taken up before Supreme Court yesterday (2) by a seven-judge bench chaired by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya consists of Justices Buwaneka Aluwihare, Sisira de Abrew, Priyantha Jayewardene, Prasanna Jayewardene, L.T.B. Dehideniya and Murdu Fernando.
