(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed Ministry Secretaries and heads of government institutions that government servants at all levels should be made aware of decisions, circulars and instructions issued by the government time to time
The President had issued this directive after noticing that only officials at higher level are aware of government decisions, circulars and instructions. He had stressed that all levels should be informed of government decisions, circulars and instructions to ensure the prevention of inefficiency, corruption and fraud in the public sector.
The President has put in place a new program aiming at converting the public service into a more efficient and transparent service and these instructions have been issued in parallel with this programme.
