Group of 261 Sri Lankans stranded in Japan arrives in the country

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –A SriLankan Airlines flight carrying 261 Sri Lankans who were stranded in Japan due to COVID-19 pandemic arrived at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport this morning.

The SriLankan Airlines flight UL-455 carrying the passengers had departed Narita International Airport in Japan and arrived at the Katunayake airport at 3:30 am today.

The group of Sri Lankans had gone to Japan for employment.

All passengers arrived were subjected to PCR tests at the airport before sending them to quarantine centers.
