Sri Lanka to lift the temporary ban on foreign visitors from June 1

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) has decided to lift the temporary ban on foreign passengers arriving in Sri Lanka from June 1.

The Civil Aviation Authority informed that Passengers will be permitted to arrive at Sri Lanka’s International Airports with effect from 0000hrs (Local time in Sri Lanka) on 01st June 2021 subject to following restrictions until further notice.

• Each incoming flight can carry only a maximum of 75 passengers in total.
• Any passenger with a travel history to India (including transit) in the past 14 days will not be permitted to arrive.
• All arriving passengers will be subject to a 14 day quarantine period as per instructions of the Health Authorities.

In addition the provision of SD-20 (Revision 3 of 15 May 2021) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka will apply.
