(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 236 new COVID-19 infections were reported so far on Sunday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 8 pm Sunday, a total of 658,197 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
While 17,090 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 624,676 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Sri Lanka Sunday reported 05 deaths raising the total to 16,431.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 16,990,033 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 14,371,930 have received the second dose. In addition, 7,689,489 have received the third booster dose.
