(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Atamasthanadhipathi Most Venerable Dr. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera, the Chief Sanghanayaka North Central Province.
He was 69 years old when he passed away while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo for a brief illness.
Born in 1953, Pallegama Sirinivasa Thera was ordained at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya in Anuradhapura in 1968.
Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera after completing his studies at the Vidyodaya Pirivena in Maligakanda obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University Kelaniya in 1984.
Most Venerable Dr. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera was appointed the Atamasthanadhipathi in 1997 and also function as the Chief Sanghanayaka North Central Province until his demise.
